back to Fairgrounds TV. I’m your host Peter Moeller of Fairgrounds Wine & Spirits in lovely
Danbury, Connecticut. And here we are, the weather is getting cooler, colder very fast
which means the holiday season is approaching fast. Here we are about to taste some wine,
something I’ve never, ever had before. A Kosher wine, this is actually a pinot grigio from
Italy that is kosher. Perfect. It is called Bartenura Pinot Grigio, it’s a 2009; Let’s
check it out. It’s got a nice color to it, it’s not too light. Let’s give it a sniff.
Getting fruity. Maybe a little pineapple, a little grapefruit. Let’s check it out. Hm.
It’s kinda light, milady effervescent. That slight pineapple is coming through. It’s very
light. This is not a very complex wine. It’s made from pinot gris grapes so I believe it’s
the same family as pinot grigio but its very light. It’s very diverse and it’ll go with
a bunch of stuff throughout the holiday season. I’m not positive that this is something I
would take home but if kosher wine was what I was looking for this would be great. It’s
an Italian Pinot Grigio so how much better can you get than an Italian Pinot Grigio that’s
Kosher for the holiday season? Definitely piquing my interest to see what is out there
for kosher wine, red wine especially. Stick with us through the holiday season, check
this out, check out our video on friday. I’m going to taste the 2011 Sam Adams Infinium
we got this morning. Check us out on Friday and we hope we see you at the store through
the holidays.}
