Chicken Liver Pate (Pâté) With Port Wine Recipe


Hello and Welcome to our channel! Today we will cook delicious chicken liver pate Heat 1-2 tablespoons butter in a large frying pan Add finely chopped one big onion and 2-3 cloves of garlic lightly fry for a few minutes until soft and tender Cut 500 gr or 18 ounces of fresh chicken liver into a big chunks Place liver into the pan and fry for couple of minutes on each side until lightly golden Add salt and freshly ground black pepper Add half cup of finely chopped your favorite kinds of fresh greens and one finely chopped chili pepper Add 150 ml or 2/3 cup of port wine and thoroughly mix Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 8-10 minutes until alcohol flavor is evaporated Place liver into a large bowl and with blender puree it until smooth Transfer mixture back to the pan, add 150 ml or 2/3 cup of chicken broth and cook for a few minutes until it becomes creamy and smooth consistency When chicken pate is ready place it into ceramic or glass serving bowls Melt 100g or 4 ounces of butter in a small saucepan and pour on the pate Place pate into the fridge for a 1 hour When ready to serve, slice bread, lightly fry on the pan, spread pate and Bon appetite!!!
